Get back to training in weeks

using your body’s own growth factors

For an athlete, an injury is pain, but also lost weeks, lost form, and a hard decision about surgery. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) gives you another option.

Our Miami regenerative dentistry team uses PRP to treat soft-tissue and joint injuries with your body’s own growth factors; no donor material, no synthetic drugs. We draw a small sample of your blood, concentrate the platelets, and place them where you’re hurting. That stimulus shifts injured tissue out of a breakdown state and into active repair. In many cases, that means recovery times cut by 30–50% and a real chance to stay out of the operating room.

What We Treat

PRP works across the injuries that sideline athletes most:

  • Tendon injuries — Achilles and patellar tendonitis, tennis elbow
  • Ligament strains — ACL and MCL
  • Muscle tears — hamstring and rotator cuff
  • Chronic, nagging joint pain that lingers through a season
  • Jaw, TMJ, and sports-related oral injuries

Fresh strain or a hot spot that won’t quit, early treatment gives the best results, often resolving grade I strains in three to four weeks, before they become a season-ending tear.

How a

PRP program works

Blood draw and concentration

A small sample of your blood is processed in our office to concentrate the platelets and the growth factors they carry.

Targeted injection

The PRP is placed precisely at the injury site to kickstart repair and calm inflammation.

The 3-treatment series

For chronic or structural issues, we space treatments about three to four weeks apart over roughly three months — kickstart, rebuild, then remodel — so each phase of healing peaks before the next stimulus.

Rehab and maintenance

Progressive loading is mandatory: PRP supplies the building blocks, your rehab aligns the fibers for power. High-impact athletes often add seasonal booster treatments to protect joints through a long season.

FAQs

Is PRP safe?

Yes. Because PRP comes from your own blood, there’s no risk of rejection or allergic reaction. It’s well-researched and minimally invasive, and it avoids the tissue-weakening side effects that come with repeated cortisone shots.

How soon can I get back to training?

It depends on the injury, but many athletes treated with our Miami regenerative dentistry approach return to play in as little as three to four weeks for early-stage strains. Chronic issues take longer and are paired with a structured rehab plan so the repair holds.

Can PRP help me avoid surgery?

Often, yes. PRP can resolve an injury before it ever needs surgical repair, and when surgery is unavoidable, it can strengthen the tissue before and after the procedure.

Can I use PRP before I'm injured?

Yes. Many athletes use PRP preventively on high-risk areas before a season to fortify tendons and ligaments against repetitive stress. It’s one of the most strategic ways to use regenerative dentistry as a serious competitor.
